Description
This industrial RS485 fluorescence dissolved oxygen sensor is engineered for continuous water quality monitoring in high-salinity marine environments. Utilizing optical fluorescence quenching with built-in salinity and temperature compensation, it provides stable readings across a 0 to 20 mg/L range without consuming oxygen or requiring electrolyte maintenance. It is ideal for aquaculture technicians, marine researchers, and makers building automated coastal monitoring buoys.
Optimised for saline environments
Engineered specifically for marine aquaculture and ocean monitoring, the probe uses dedicated calibration algorithms to compensate for salinity effects on dissolved oxygen measurements. This guarantees accurate, reliable data integrity in seawater conditions without sensor drift.

Fluorescence-based optical sensing
The sensor determines dissolved oxygen levels by measuring the phase difference between excited red light and reference light. Because this optical method does not consume oxygen or rely on consumable electrolytes, it eliminates electrode polarization and drastically lowers routine servicing requirements.

Submersible IP68 construction
Built with a 316 stainless steel probe and corrosion-resistant housing, the unit carries an IP68 waterproof rating for continuous marine deployment. It withstands pressures up to 0.6 MPa and comes supplied with a 5-metre cable for deep submerged installations.
Industrial RS485 communication
Standard RS485 ModBus-RTU output allows easy connection to PLCs, industrial controllers, and microcontrollers over a 10 to 30V DC supply. A built-in temperature sensor provides real-time readings and drives automatic temperature compensation across the 0 to 40°C operating range.
Versatile marine applications
With low 0.2W power consumption and wide supply voltage tolerance, this sensor suits remote oceanographic data buoys, automated fish farm aeration controls, and coastal water analysis stations.
