Description

The Romeo BLE is an all-in-one robot control board powered by an ATmega328P microcontroller with an Arduino UNO bootloader and integrated Bluetooth 4.0. Designed specifically for robotics, it eliminates the need for separate motor shields and wireless add-ons, making it an ideal platform for students, makers, and hobbyists building mobile robots.

Integrated dual DC motor driver

The board features a built-in two-way H-bridge motor driver capable of delivering up to 2A per channel. It also provides dedicated power handling for high-current servos, allowing you to drive motors and actuators directly without extra shields.

Wireless programming and Bluetooth control

An on-board TI CC2540 BLE chip delivers a wireless transmission range of up to 70 metres in free space. It supports over-the-air Arduino sketch uploading, transparent serial communication, iBeacons, and wireless control via the GoBle iOS app.

Extensive input and output connectivity

The board includes 14 digital I/O ports, 6 PWM outputs, 8 10-bit analog inputs, 3 I2C interfaces, and 5 integrated buttons. Dual male and female pin headers and a dedicated APC220 RF module socket provide versatile prototyping options.

Plug-and-play Gravity sensor support

Designed with DFRobot standard colour-coded 3-pin headers, the board connects directly to Gravity series sensors and actuators. It is fully compatible with standard Arduino shields for straightforward hardware expansion.

Flexible power management

Power can be supplied via USB or an external DC2.1 jack accepting 5V to 23V with auto-sensing input switching. Regulated 5V and 3.3V DC outputs ensure reliable power delivery to connected electronics and sensors.
