Romeo - a Robot Control Board with Motor Driver (Compatible with Arduino)

The Romeo is an all-in-one robotics control board powered by the ATmega328 microcontroller and based on the Arduino Uno platform. Designed specifically for robotics enthusiasts, educators, and makers, it integrates motor drivers, sensor expansion headers, and wireless sockets directly onto a single board.

Integrated dual DC motor driver

The board features a built-in two-way DC motor driver capable of supplying up to 2A maximum current per channel. This eliminates the need for external motor shields when building wheeled and tracked robotic chassis.

Arduino Uno compatibility and architecture

Powered by an ATmega328 microcontroller loaded with the Arduino Uno bootloader, Romeo retains standard Uno pin mapping. It gives you immediate access to thousands of open-source Arduino code libraries and project examples.

Plug-and-play Gravity sensor pinout

Standard DFRobot 3-pin headers enable direct connection to hundreds of Gravity-series sensors and actuators without breadboards. The board provides 8 channels of 10-bit analog I/O, three I2C interface pin sets, and support for male and female headers.

Wireless communications and interfaces

Integrated sockets support direct attachment of APC220 radio communication and DF-Bluetooth modules. A TTL-level serial interface, ICSP programming header, and standard USB port are also included.

Power delivery and on-board controls

The controller features auto-sensing power switching between USB and 7V to 12V external DC supplies, with extra power capacity tailored for current-hungry servos. Five built-in key inputs and gold-plated PCB construction complete the board.
