The ROCK 5B is a high-performance single board computer powered by the octa-core Rockchip RK3588 SoC and 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Flagship octa-core processing power
The board features the Rockchip RK3588 SoC with a Quad Cortex-A76 and Quad Cortex-A55 processor alongside an Arm Mali-G610MC4 GPU. Paired with 8GB of 64-bit LPDDR4 RAM, it reliably handles high-throughput edge computing and advanced IoT tasks.
Flexible GPIO and hardware expansion
A 40-pin GPIO expansion header provides versatile connectivity options to maintain broad compatibility with standard SBC accessories. Dedicated onboard connectors also provide access to 4-lane MIPI CSI camera and 4-lane MIPI DSI display interfaces.
Ultra-high-definition 8K video output
Dual HDMI outputs support displays up to 8Kp60 and 4Kp60 resolution for advanced digital signage, gaming, and multimedia installations. An integrated micro-HDMI input port enables 4Kp60 video capture directly onto the board alongside a 3.5mm stereo audio jack.
Compact layout and thermal control
The physical layout includes dedicated heatsink mounting holes and a PWM fan connector to manage thermal performance under heavy processing loads. This layout ensures reliable operation across operating temperatures ranging from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius.
Robust peripheral connectivity and power control
