Pressure Sensor Strip (170mm, 20g-10kg)

This 170mm flexible thin-film pressure sensor strip detects both static and dynamic force across a 20g to 10kg range. It is well suited to students, makers, and engineers developing smart furniture, healthcare devices, or robotic collision detection systems.

Ultra-thin layered construction

The sensor is built from high-durability film with conductive traces and nanometre pressure-sensitive layers bound by double-sided adhesive. When force is applied to the active area, resistance decreases predictably as the circuit connects through the upper layer.

Slim 170mm strip dimensions

With a length of 170mm and a thickness of only 0.35mm, the flexible strip easily conforms to flat or curved surfaces. Its low profile makes it ideal for edge mounting on robots or layering beneath fabric and upholstery.

Wide 20g to 10kg force response

The sensor measures static and dynamic loads from 20g up to 10kg or more at frequencies up to 10Hz. It features an initial resting resistance greater than 10MΩ and a rapid 10ms response time.

Occupancy and edge detection applications

Designed for real-time contact monitoring, the sensor strip suits bed exit alarms, sofa seating sensors, and intelligent sneakers. It can also be deployed as a sensitive bumper along robot edges for collision avoidance.

Durable environmental performance

Rated for over one million activations, the strip operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It generates no electromagnetic interference (EMI) or electrostatic discharge (EDS) during operation.
