Description

The JL-FS2 is a rugged three-cup outdoor anemometer designed for precise wind speed monitoring in DIY weather stations and automation projects. It outputs a standard 0 to 5V analogue signal across a 0 to 30 m/s range, making it simple to interface with Arduino and other microcontrollers. Built for harsh outdoor environments, it is an ideal choice for makers, students, and weather enthusiasts.

Wide measurement range and precision

The sensor measures wind speeds from 0 to 30 m/s with a fine resolution of 0.1 m/s and a start threshold of 0.4 to 0.8 m/s. A low system error of ±3% ensures dependable, accurate data collection for meteorological projects.

Standard analogue voltage output

Operating on a DC 12V to 24V supply, the unit provides a linear 0 to 5V analogue output with low power consumption under 0.3W. The signal transmits reliably over cable distances of up to 8 metres to your development board.

Durable all-weather construction

With an operating temperature range of -40°C to 80°C, this 1 kg unit is engineered to withstand extreme climates throughout the year. The three-cup design provides consistent, omnidirectional wind speed capture.

Simple wiring and complete hardware

The package includes the JL-FS2 anemometer, a screw mounting kit, and a waterproof connector with a 3-metre cable. Clear colour-coded wiring ensures easy setup using red for VCC, black for ground, and yellow for voltage output.
