Description

The Multi Function Expansion Board for UNIHIKER and micro:bit is an all-in-one power and motion platform designed for mobile robotics and maker projects. It equips UNIHIKER K10, M10, and micro:bit development boards with multi-channel motor drivers, comprehensive I/O breakouts, and integrated battery management. It is ideal for students, educators, and makers building portable, autonomous devices.

Versatile I/O breakout and sensors

The board expands controller connectivity with six 3.3V digital, analogue, or single-bus ports, eight edge-connector GPIO breakouts, and a dedicated 5V ultrasonic sensor port. Onboard dual WS2812 RGB LEDs and an infrared transmitter and receiver provide built-in visual output and remote-control capabilities.

Versatile I/O breakout and sensors

Integrated 18650 power management

A built-in 3.7V 18650 battery holder with integrated charging and discharging circuitry allows untethered operation without external battery boxes. Onboard status indicators show battery levels at a glance, and the included Type-C to HY2.0-4P cable supplies dedicated, stable power to the UNIHIKER M10.

Multi-channel motor and servo control

Equipped with a four-channel DC motor driver and six servo ports powered directly from the battery, the board handles high-torque motion without causing system voltage drops. It also provides three 3.3V I2C ports and a dedicated 5V I2C interface to power high-draw peripherals such as HUSKYLENS AI vision sensors.

LEGO-compatible chassis and circuit protection

Base mounting holes feature M3 spacing compatible with LEGO bricks for rapid physical prototyping. An acrylic baseplate safeguards against accidental short circuits, while onboard electrostatic discharge protection on all I/O pins and direction indicator LEDs ensure safe handling and straightforward debugging.
