The Multi Function Expansion Board for UNIHIKER K10 and micro:bit is an all-in-one power and motion platform designed for mobile robotics and interactive electronics. It integrates DC motor and servo drivers with an onboard rechargeable battery holder and extensive sensor interfaces, making it ideal for students, educators, and hobbyist makers.

Integrated motor driver and battery management

The board drives up to four DC motors and six servos, utilising independent battery power to ensure stable performance under heavy mechanical load. An integrated 3.7V 18650 battery holder with an onboard charging and discharging circuit allows projects to run completely untethered.

Extensive peripheral and sensor connectivity

Alongside edge connector GPIO pass-through, the board provides six multi-function digital, analogue, and 1-Wire pins, multiple I2C headers including a 5V port, and a dedicated 5V ultrasonic sensor connection. Onboard components also include two addressable WS2812 RGB LEDs and an infrared transmitter and receiver.

LEGO Technic structural compatibility

M3 mounting holes are positioned to match standard LEGO Technic dimensions, enabling quick and sturdy mechanical assembly. This makes it straightforward to mount the electronics directly onto custom educational models and robotic chassis.

Protective hardware and visual diagnostics

An included acrylic base plate safeguards against accidental short circuits, while all I/O pins feature electrostatic discharge protection. Clear status LEDs deliver real-time visual feedback for power, charging state, battery capacity, and motor direction.
