Description
The MiniQ 4WD Cross Country Mobile Robot is an educational robotics platform designed for students, makers, and educators. Powered by an ATmega32U4 microcontroller and compatible with Arduino Leonardo, it provides an accessible entry point into embedded coding and mobile robotics.
Arduino Leonardo compatible architecture
The platform is driven by an onboard ATmega32U4 microcontroller that works seamlessly with the Arduino Leonardo environment. Users can write, test, and upload code directly using standard Arduino IDE workflows.
Four-wheel-drive mobile chassis
A compact 4WD cross-country layout delivers four-wheel-drive mobility for exploring locomotion algorithms. The integrated chassis provides a complete hardware foundation without requiring external motor shield assembly.
Infrared control receiver
Built-in IR control support allows the robot to receive commands wirelessly. This enables practical projects involving remote steering, distance triggers, and interactive control routines.
Light sensing and RGB feedback
Equipped with ambient light sensing and an onboard RGB LED, the robot can detect surrounding brightness levels for autonomous navigation tasks. The multi-colour LED serves as a programmable indicator for status updates and visual feedback.
