Description

The Mini Laser Distance Range Sensor is an ultra-compact LiDAR module that measures distances from 2 cm up to 4 metres. With its fingernail-sized footprint, fast response speed, and IP67 weather resistance, it is ideal for makers and students building autonomous robots, security setups, and smart automation systems.

Accurate ranging in a compact footprint

Despite measuring roughly the size of a fingernail, this laser module provides precise ranging from 2 cm to 400 cm with a minimal blind zone. It achieves an accuracy of ±1 cm up to 25 cm and ±4% at longer distances, with typical real-world errors around 5 mm.

Straightforward I2C Arduino integration

The module outputs distance readings via a standard I2C interface, making it easy to wire directly to Arduino boards and IO expansion shields. It runs on 3.3V to 5V power with an active current draw below 19 mA and an idle current of just 2 mA.

Fast response and 19-degree field of view

A rapid output response time of 19 to 38 ms ensures prompt obstacle detection for mobile robotic platforms. The sensor provides a 19-degree detection angle and is ready to measure within 800 ms of powering on.

IP67 dust and water resistance

The sensor housing carries an IP67 rating, offering dependable dust and water protection for diverse environments. It operates reliably in ambient temperatures from -15°C to 60°C.

Wide range of automation applications

High installation adaptability makes this sensor suited for robot obstacle avoidance, presence detection, smart furniture, and home security. Its tiny size allows seamless integration into space-constrained projects.
