Description
The Micro Solar Power Manager is an ultra-low-power energy harvesting module designed to charge 3.7V lithium batteries from 1V to 3V micro solar panels. Featuring constant-voltage MPPT tracking and a regulated 3.3V output, it is ideal for makers, students, and engineers building maintenance-free IoT sensor nodes and Bluetooth beacons.
Optimised micro-energy solar harvesting
Powered by the SPV1050 management IC with DC-DC boost topology, the module accepts solar inputs from 0.5V to 4V. The constant-voltage MPPT algorithm operates at 75 percent open-circuit voltage, maximising energy conversion efficiency even in low-light conditions.
Powering micro:bit sensor projects
The module delivers a regulated 3.3V 90mA output to easily power low-draw microcontrollers such as the BBC micro:bit. This stable power rail prevents system crashes and protects precision sensors from voltage fluctuations during wireless transmission.

Extended runtime for FireBeetle series
When paired with low-power controllers like the FireBeetle ESP32 series or BLE beacons, the board enables continuous, maintenance-free operation. Devices can run entirely on harvested solar energy without requiring regular battery replacements.

Comprehensive battery and circuit protection
Designed for 3.7V lithium batteries, the charger includes integrated overcharge protection at 4.2V, over-discharge cutoff at 3.1V, and reverse-connection prevention. Output lines are additionally protected against short circuits and overcurrent.

Dual charging and compact footprint
The board charges connected lithium cells at up to 70mA from solar and up to 100mA via USB input. Measuring just 30.0mm by 30.0mm, it operates reliably across industrial temperatures from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.

Included monocrystalline solar panel and wiring
The kit includes a 50mm by 50mm waterproof and corrosion-resistant 2V 160mA monocrystalline solar panel with 2.4V open-circuit voltage. It also comes complete with 24AWG single conductor connecting wires, pin headers, and a PH2.0-2P power cable.
