micro:bit Go V2 (On-the-go Starter Bundle)

The micro:bit Go V2 is a portable starter bundle featuring the upgraded micro:bit V2 pocket-sized computer, designed for students, beginners, and STEM enthusiasts. It provides everything needed to begin learning programming and building interactive DIY digital projects straight out of the box.

Compact sensing and display hardware

Measuring just half the size of a credit card, the board integrates a 5x5 programmable LED matrix, two user buttons, an ST LSM303 motion sensor combining an accelerometer and compass, and a built-in thermometer. Wireless connectivity is supported via 2.4GHz micro:bit Radio and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0.

On-board sound and touch controls

The V2 revision adds a built-in speaker and an integrated MEMS microphone with a dedicated LED indicator for audio sensing. A capacitive touch-sensitive logo pin expands the available physical input options without requiring extra components.

Refined power and accessory connections

A discrete voltage regulator supplies up to 200mA to external peripherals via a notched 25-pin edge connector designed for easy grip with crocodile clips. A dedicated power LED shows active status, and a built-in sleep mode allows the board to be powered down while remaining connected to its battery pack.

Processing power and software compatibility

Driven by a Nordic Semiconductor nRF52833 processor with 512kB Flash and 128kB RAM, the board supports diverse programming environments including Microsoft MakeCode, Python, Scratch, and C++.
