ME007YS Waterproof Ultrasonic Distance Sensor (28~450cm, UART, IP67)

The ME007YS is an industrial-grade waterproof and dustproof ultrasonic distance sensor with a 28cm to 450cm detection range and UART output. Operating at 5V with IP67 protection, it penetrates dust and smog to deliver steady readings for robotics, vehicle proximity systems, and outdoor maker projects using Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Seamless Arduino integration

The sensor connects straightforwardly to Arduino controllers over an asynchronous serial UART interface running at 9600 baud. Onboard signal processing calculates distances internally, allowing your microcontroller to read measurements directly.

Raspberry Pi and MCU compatibility

With its standard serial communication and 100ms duty cycle, the module interfaces smoothly with Raspberry Pi boards and other upper-host controllers. This direct serial output simplifies software development and shortens prototyping time.

Versatile sensing applications

Offering a 28cm to 450cm detection range with plus-minus 1cm accuracy, this sensor suits obstacle-avoiding robots, backing-car annunciators, and object proximity detection systems.

Targeted acoustic beam directionality

Driven by a 40kHz probe frequency, the transducer provides stable distance data along a defined beam pattern. The ultrasonic pulse maintains reliable target tracking even in the presence of smog and ambient dust.

Durable IP67 waterproof housing

The module integrates an enclosed transmitter and receiver probe inside a sealed, dustproof, and IP67 waterproof enclosure. It operates reliably between -15 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius with a peak current draw of 50mA or less at 5V.
