Description

The MDV 2x2A DC Motor Controller is a dual H-bridge driver board based on the L298N chip, designed to drive and regulate two brushed DC motors. Supporting motor voltages from 4.8V to 46V at up to 2A per channel, it is well suited for students, educators, and makers building robotic platforms and automation projects.

Independent dual motor control

The module provides independent direction control and PWM speed regulation for two brushed DC motors. It pairs easily with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other standard microcontroller platforms.

L298N dual H-bridge driver

Built on the L298N architecture, the driver delivers up to 2A of operating current per channel. Integrated protection diodes prevent damage from back-EMF voltage spikes during motor switching.

Wide power supply range

The board accepts a motor supply voltage from 4.8V to 46V alongside a 6V to 12V logic supply input. This broad range makes it adaptable for both low-voltage prototyping setups and higher-voltage DC motor applications.

Onboard heatsink cooling

An integrated heatsink improves thermal dissipation during continuous operation and medium-load conditions. The module handles up to 25W of maximum power dissipation at 75 degrees Celsius across an operating temperature range of -25 to +130 degrees Celsius.

Screw terminal wiring interface

Clearly labelled screw terminal connectors enable fast, secure wiring for power and motor outputs without soldering. Measuring 47 mm by 53 mm and weighing approximately 29g, it mounts neatly into compact educational and maker chassis.

Robotics and automation applications

This driver is ideal for wheeled mobile robots such as obstacle avoidance and line tracking vehicles. It is equally suited for driving small conveyor systems, mechanical automation rigs, and STEM robotics kits.
