Description
The Maix Bit AI Development Board is a compact edge-computing platform powered by the 64-bit dual-core RISC-V K210 processor. Designed for machine vision and auditory AI, it provides students, makers, and embedded developers with high-performance neural network processing at an accessible scale.
Dual-core RISC-V K210 processor
At the core of the board is the 64-bit RISC-V K210 dual-core processor with independent double-precision FPUs. It operates at a nominal frequency of 400 MHz, with support for overclocking up to 600 MHz to handle compute-heavy routines.

High-speed neural network acceleration
The hardware delivers processing speeds in the hundreds of GOPS for neural network workloads, handling conventional face detection at 6 fps and AI-accelerated QVGA RGB image processing at over 60 fps. It encapsulates neural network classes directly within firmware for fast model execution.
MicroPython and OpenMV API support
Running MaixPy firmware, the board lets you develop machine learning and microcontroller projects using MicroPython. It is compatible with most OpenMV APIs, allowing standard vision scripts and algorithms to be ported with ease.
Camera, display, and audio interfaces
Equipped with a 24-pin DVP camera connector compatible with sensors such as the OV2640, OV7740, and OV5640, the board also integrates a 24-pin 8-bit MCU LCD interface. An onboard MEMS microphone provides native sound capture for auditory machine learning tasks.
Memory, storage, and standard expansion
The module integrates 8 MB of on-chip SRAM (6 MB general purpose plus 2 MB dedicated AI memory), 16 MB of high-speed flash, and an onboard TF card slot. All GPIO lines are routed to 2.54 mm pin headers alongside standard UART and JTAG debugging interfaces.
Compact dimensions and power requirements
Measuring just 53.3 mm by 25.4 mm, the board includes an onboard CH552 high-speed USB-to-serial chip and an RGB LED. It operates on an input voltage of 4.8 V to 5.2 V with a minimum current requirement of 600 mA across an operating temperature range of -30 °C to 85 °C.
