Magnetic Contact Switch Sensor for Arduino

The Magnetic Contact Switch Sensor is a compact reed switch module designed to detect object presence and movement using magnetic fields. It is ideal for makers, students, and hobbyists creating security systems, door monitors, and automation projects with microcontrollers like Arduino.

Magnetic reed sensing mechanism

The switch consists of two iron and nickel reeds separated by a small gap inside a plastic housing. When an external magnetic field enters within a 2cm range, the reeds make contact and conduct to output a switching value signal.

Hermetically sealed construction

The internal switching elements are sealed inside an inert gas atmosphere to isolate them completely from the environment. This protective design prevents corrosion and ensures a long operational service life.

Compact lightweight footprint

With dimensions of 6 by 20 by 350mm and minimal weight, the sensor fits easily into tight spaces. This makes it suitable for miniaturised equipment and low-profile installations.
