Lithium Battery Charger V1.0

The Lithium Battery Charger V1.0 is a compact charging and power module designed for single-cell 3.7V Li-Ion and LiPo batteries. Powered via a modern USB Type-C interface, it is ideal for makers, robotics hobbyists, and educators looking for a versatile and embeddable battery management solution.

Single-cell charging precision

The module charges single-cell 3.7V lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries using constant-current and constant-voltage algorithms. It features a pre-adjusted 4.2V charging voltage with 1.5% accuracy, C/10 charge termination, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C.

Selectable charging currents

Solder pads on the back of the PCB allow you to select between 100mA, 500mA (default), 700mA, and 1000mA charging rates. This makes it easy to match the current to your specific battery capacity for safe and efficient charging.

USB Type-C power input

Upgraded with a USB Type-C connector, the board accepts power from standard modern chargers and USB cables. Batteries can be attached using either the onboard JST-type socket or direct terminal connections.

Auxiliary power output terminals

Integrated 3.3V and 5V output terminals allow you to power external microcontrollers and sensors directly from the board. Three onboard status indicator LEDs provide clear visual feedback during operation.

Configurable deep discharge recovery

A dedicated reverse connection protection pad allows recovery when a battery is completely discharged and unable to trigger normal charging. Soldering the pad restores charging capability, while leaving it disconnected maintains full reverse connection protection.

Compact embeddable footprint

Measuring just 38 x 32 x 1.6mm, the lightweight PCB includes two mounting holes for clean integration into custom enclosures and embedded robotics projects. The package includes one Lithium Battery Charger V1.0 board.
