Lipo Charger-Type C

The Lipo Charger-Type C is a compact charging module designed to safely power and manage single-cell 3.7V lithium batteries. Powered by the TP4056X IC via USB Type-C, it is well suited for makers, students, and hobbyists integrating rechargeable battery circuits into small-scale electronics projects.

Configurable triple-mode charging current

Select between 50mA, 200mA, and 500mA charging currents by bridging dedicated bonding pads on the underside of the board. The default 50mA mode charges 100 to 400mAh cells, while the 200mA and 500mA settings cater to larger capacities up to and above 1000mAh.

TP4056X controller with thermal management

The integrated TP4056X IC incorporates internal thermal feedback to automatically regulate current under high-power draw or elevated ambient temperatures. It delivers consistent charging performance across a operating temperature range of -40 deg C to 85 deg C.

Three-stage safe charging profile

The charger manages cells through trickle charge, constant current, and constant voltage phases to preserve battery health and optimise charge cycles. Charging caps accurately at 4.2V with a tolerance of plus or minus 1%.

Dual status indicator support

An onboard LED flashes when idle, stays illuminated while charging, and powers down when the cell is fully charged to avoid parasitic drain. Dedicated breakout pads also allow you to wire an external indicator LED for chassis-mounted projects.

Compact USB Type-C form factor

Measuring just 16.5 x 28mm, the module takes a 5V supply directly from standard USB Type-C cables and power sources. Its miniature footprint ensures straightforward integration into space-constrained DIY enclosures and mobile devices.
