Description
The Leadshine CL86C is a high-performance closed-loop hybrid stepper motor driver designed for 2-phase NEMA 34 motors. It uses encoder feedback to prevent step loss and deliver enhanced torque and system stability. This driver is ideal for makers, educators, and robotics hobbyists building high-precision CNC routers, 3D printers, and industrial automation equipment.
Closed-loop hybrid performance
Combining stepper and servo technologies, the CL86C uses encoder feedback to prevent step loss while maintaining high torque and smooth operation without manual tuning. It accepts versatile supply voltages of 30–90V DC or 20–70V AC and provides adjustable peak current output up to 8A.
Control and microstepping
The controller supports high microstepping resolutions from 200 up to 51,200 steps per revolution and pulse frequencies up to 500 kHz for precise positioning. Its opto-isolated PUL, DIR, and ENA control inputs are widely compatible with 5V to 24V logic signals.
Configuration and protection
An RS232 interface enables straightforward PC-based parameter tuning, software configuration, and diagnostics. The unit also features built-in industrial protections against over-voltage, over-current, and position tracking errors.
