Description
The LattePanda Mu is a compact x86 computer-on-module powered by an Intel Processor N100, 8GB of LPDDR5 memory, and 64GB of eMMC storage. Supplied with a Windows 11 IoT Enterprise licence card, it provides a versatile compute engine for makers, developers, and engineers creating bespoke embedded devices.
Quad-core Intel N100 processing
Equipped with a 4-core, 4-thread Intel N100 processor reaching boost clocks up to 3.4GHz, this module delivers double the CPU performance of a Raspberry Pi 5. It features 8GB of onboard 4800MHz LPDDR5 memory with IBECC support alongside 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

Card-sized embedded form factor
Measuring only 69.6mm by 60mm, the module packs desktop-class x86 architecture into a pocket-sized footprint. Its system-on-module layout simplifies integration into space-restricted housings and portable enclosures.

Adjustable power and cooling profile
The thermal design power is configurable from 6W to 35W, giving you direct control over energy draw and heat dissipation. The 6W setting allows silent passive cooling, while higher power limits provide maximum compute throughput with active cooling.

High-density expansion interfaces
Pin breakouts support up to 9 PCIe 3.0 lanes, 3 display outputs supporting resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz, and up to 4 USB 3.2 10Gbps ports. It additionally routes 8 USB 2.0 channels, 2 SATA 3.0 ports, I2C, UART, and 64 expandable GPIO pins.

Evaluation and deployment carriers
The module pairs with optional baseboards such as the compact lite carrier for rapid verification or the full-function evaluation board for complete pin access. When using the lite carrier board, 12V input power is required to enable the PCIe slot.

Open-source carrier design files
Hardware designers can access open-source KiCAD carrier board files and hardware libraries to build customised daughterboards. These reference resources help reduce development time when prototyping application-specific carrier hardware.

Multi-operating system compatibility
The board supports Windows 10, Windows 11, and Ubuntu Linux. When deploying with the included Windows 11 licence, install the module on your final carrier board and update the corresponding BIOS before activating.
