Description
The LakiBeam 1L is an industrial-grade 2D single-line pulsed Time-of-Flight (pToF) LiDAR sensor offering a 270-degree horizontal field of view and a 40-metre detection range with ±2 cm accuracy. Encased in a compact, IP65-rated housing with Ethernet UDP and USB output, it is built for robotics engineers, makers, and industrial developers implementing mapping, navigation, and obstacle avoidance.
Long-range 270-degree horizontal scanning
Operating on pulsed Time-of-Flight methodology with an internal rotating mirror, the module scans a wide 270-degree horizontal plane with a near-zero blind zone. It achieves detection distances up to 40 metres at 70% reflectivity (20 metres at 10% reflectivity) while maintaining a precision of ±2 cm.

High sampling rate and precision
A sampling frequency of up to 43,200 points per second delivers dense, high-quality point clouds for accurate mapping. Users can select an angular resolution of 0.1 degrees at 10 Hz or 0.25 degrees at rotation frequencies up to 30 Hz.

Outdoor sunlight and ambient light resistance
Resistant to ambient light levels up to 100 kLux, the sensor operates consistently across indoor and bright outdoor environments. It utilizes a 940 nm VCSEL laser emitter that generates a smaller spot size than traditional emitters, minimising trailing while adhering to Class 1 eye safety standards.

Integrated web interface and Ethernet streaming
The built-in web service allows straightforward configuration, dashboard monitoring, and over-the-air firmware updates directly via a standard browser. Real-time distance, angle, echo intensity, and timestamp data are streamed over 100 Mbps Ethernet UDP or USB.

Durable IP65 industrial hardware
Driven by a quiet, long-life brushless motor, the 160 g unit is housed in a compact 60 x 60 x 80 mm IP65 enclosure. It operates across an input voltage of 9 V to 36 V DC via a standard 5.5 x 2.1 mm power socket with a power consumption of 2 W or less.

Robotics and automated sensing applications
The sensor is suited for AGV navigation, industrial automation, perimeter security, and interactive displays. It can be deployed as the primary LiDAR for indoor autonomous robots or as an oblique scanner for outdoor mobile platforms.
