Description
The LakiBeam 1 is an industrial-grade single-line 2D pulsed Time-of-Flight LiDAR scanner providing a 270-degree field of view and a 25-metre detection range with 2cm precision. Built with IP65 ingress protection and 100kLux ambient light resistance, it delivers dependable point-cloud data for both indoor and outdoor robotics. It is an ideal perception sensor for engineers, students, and makers building autonomous mobile robots, mapping platforms, and AGV obstacle avoidance systems.
Wide 270-degree scanning range
Using pulsed Time-of-Flight ranging across a 270-degree horizontal field of view, this sensor detects targets up to 25 metres away with a near-zero blind zone. It maintains plus-or-minus 2cm measurement accuracy for reliable mobile robot navigation and perimeter security.

High sampling rate and resolution
The LiDAR samples up to 36,000 points per second with configurable angular resolutions of 0.1 degrees at 10Hz or 0.25 degrees up to 30Hz. This high-density data output delivers crisp point clouds for real-time environmental profiling.

Strong light resistance and IP65 housing
Resistant to ambient light up to 100kLux, the sensor operates consistently across indoor and bright outdoor environments. The compact 160g enclosure carries an IP65 protection rating and operates in temperatures from minus 25 to 60 degrees Celsius.

Focused VCSEL laser emission
A 940nm VCSEL laser emitter creates a tighter beam spot size compared to traditional EEL emitters, minimising trailing artefacts and boosting edge precision. The optical module adheres to Class 1 eye safety standards with an emission power under 1mW.

Integrated web dashboard and Ethernet UDP
Measurement data including distance, angle, and echo intensity is output over 100Mbps Ethernet UDP. An onboard web service accessible via a browser allows simple configuration, dashboard monitoring, and over-the-air firmware updates.
Durable brushless motor mechanism
An internal brushless motor rotates the mirror assembly quietly and reliably over extended operating periods. The unit accepts a wide DC input voltage from 9V to 36V while drawing 2W or less during operation.
