Description

This L298N motor shield is a dual high-current motor drive compatible with Arduino. It is ideal for students, educators, and hobbyists looking to drive DC motors and stepper motors directly from their microcontrollers.

Dual H-bridge motor control

Powered by the STMicroelectronics L298N driver chip, this shield provides direct drive capabilities for DC motors as well as two-phase and four-phase stepper motors. It delivers a drive current of up to 2A per channel for high-power applications.

Plug-and-play shield design

The laminated shield design allows you to plug the board directly into an Arduino, eliminating messy wiring and reducing setup difficulty. Clear markings on the board make it easy to identify connections.

Integrated Schott group protection

The motor output circuit features an eight-speed Schott group as a protective diode to safeguard your microcontroller and driver. This circuit line wiring design reduces technical difficulty during operation.

Operating voltage and current

The shield operates with a 5V logic portion input voltage drawing less than 36mA, while the drive portion accepts a VIN input of 6.5V to 12V. It supports a maximum power dissipation of 25W at 75 degrees Celsius.

Robust thermal and signal limits

This dual H-bridge driver operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -25 to +130 degrees Celsius. It features a control signal input high level threshold of 2.3V.
