This driver board can independently control up to two DC motors at a constant current of 1.2A per channel, with a peak current capacity of 3.2A for short pulses. It is perfect for small-to-medium wheeled robots requiring reliable differential steering.

Using two input signals per channel, you can easily switch each motor between four distinct functional modes: clockwise, counter-clockwise, short-brake, and stop. This gives you complete control over your robot's driving and braking behaviour.

High-frequency speed regulation

Control the speed of each motor independently using a PWM input signal with a frequency of up to 100kHz. This high-frequency capability ensures smooth acceleration and quiet motor operation.

Safe and flexible power limits

The board supports a logic supply voltage of 2.7V to 5.5VDC, making it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers. The motor supply voltage supports up to 15VDC to accommodate a wide range of battery packs.

Integrated circuit protection

To protect your microcontroller and motors, the board features a built-in thermal shutdown circuit and a low-voltage detection circuit. Filtering capacitors are also pre-installed on both power supply lines to reduce electrical noise.

Energy-efficient standby control

Save battery power on your mobile projects by utilising the standby control pin. Pulling the STBY pin high takes the motor out of standby mode, allowing you to shut down the driver outputs when the motors are idle.
