Description

The Keyestudio 4WD TB6612 Motor Driver Shield is a stacked-style expansion board designed specifically for the UNO R3 control board. It is an ideal solution for students, educators, and hobbyists building DIY smart cars or multi-motor robotics projects. This shield simplifies wiring and provides robust power management to drive up to four DC motors alongside multiple servos.

Powerful motor and servo control

Equipped with two TB6612FNG chips, this shield can drive up to four DC motors with a working voltage of up to 12V. An onboard PCA9685 chip provides 16 channels of PWM output, dedicating eight channels to motor speed and direction, and routing the remaining eight to 2.54mm pitch headers for servos.

Versatile pin and interface expansion

The shield breaks out UNO R3 pins D11, D10, D9, D5, D4, D3, D2, and A3 into 3-pin headers with a 2.54mm pitch. It also features a 4-pin I2C port and a 4-pin female serial header, making it easy to connect Bluetooth modules and other communication peripherals.

Secure PH2.0 anti-reverse connectors

To prevent wiring mistakes, the board includes five PH2.0mm-2P anti-reverse interfaces for external power and the four motors. Additionally, it offers dedicated PH2.0 interfaces in 3-pin, 4-pin, and 5-pin configurations to easily plug in compatible sensors and modules.

High-capacity onboard power regulation

Featuring an LM2596S-5.0 power supply IC, the shield supports a massive loading capacity with a maximum current of up to 3A to drive multiple servos. An integrated DIP switch allows for convenient control over the external power supply.

Hardware-configurable motor direction

Eight onboard jumper caps allow you to quickly configure the rotation direction of your motors. By changing the jumper orientation from horizontal to vertical, you can instantly reverse a motor's default direction without altering your code.

Operating within a DC 8-12V range, the shield delivers up to 10W of maximum power and functions in temperatures from -20 to +60 degrees Celsius. Measuring 68.7mm by 55mm, this eco-friendly board is fully ROHS compliant.
