Description
The keyestudio 4 Channel L298P Motor Drives Shield V1.0 is a versatile expansion board designed to simplify motor control for Arduino-based robotics projects. Ideal for students, educators, and hobbyists, this shield plugs directly onto an Arduino UNO R3 to drive up to four DC motors or stepper motors without complex wiring. It is the perfect starting point for building custom mobile robots and smart vehicles.
High-power STMicroelectronics L298P driver
Built around the robust L298P integrated circuit, this shield delivers up to 2A of driving current to power DC motors as well as two-phase and four-phase stepper motors. It features eight high-speed Schottky diodes on the output terminals to protect your circuitry from back electromotive force.

Stackable design for Arduino UNO
The shield features a convenient stackable design that plugs directly onto an Arduino UNO R3 board, eliminating messy breadboard wiring. An onboard slide switch allows you to easily control the power supply to both the shield and the underlying Arduino board from a single battery source.

Plug-and-play connectors and Bluetooth support
Wiring up your robot is simplified with anti-reverse PH2.0-2P white connectors that prevent incorrect motor polarity. Additionally, a dedicated Bluetooth interface is fully compatible with the keyestudio HM-10 module for wireless control.

Analogue and digital expansion headers
To accommodate extra sensors, LEDs, and actuators, the shield breaks out additional digital and analogue ports to standard 2.54mm pitch pin and female headers. This allows you to easily extend your robot's capabilities without needing an extra sensor shield.

Four-channel control with direction jumpers
You can connect up to four DC motors simultaneously and easily configure their rotation. The board includes eight jumpers that let you reverse the turning direction of any of the four motors by simply switching the jumper orientation from horizontal to vertical.

Physical and electrical specifications
Operating with a 5V logic input and a 7-12V driving input, this 29.1g shield supports a maximum power dissipation of 50W at 75 degrees Celsius. It measures 65mm by 50mm by 30mm and includes three 3mm fixing holes for secure mechanical mounting.
