IR Remote Controller (2-Key)

The IR Remote Controller (2-Key) is a compact, straightforward infrared transmitter designed for wireless project control. Featuring two programmable buttons, it is ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers looking for an easy way to trigger robots or switch projects on and off remotely.

Simple two-button operation

The controller provides dedicated ON and OFF buttons for immediate remote switching. With custom microcontroller programming, these keys can also be mapped to paired actions such as moving forward and backward.

Standard NEC protocol encoding

Transmissions use the standard 38kHz NEC encoded format with device address 0x00FF. The ON key transmits command 0x02, while the OFF key sends command 0x98.

Reliable transmission range and angle

The remote sends signals over a distance exceeding 8 metres with a 60-degree transmission angle. This ensures dependable wireless communication across open rooms and test areas.

Slim ultra-low power build

Measuring 86 x 40 x 6 mm with a 0.125mm PET surface, the enclosure is lightweight and pocket-sized. It consumes only 3 to 5 uA in standby and 3 to 5 mA during active transmission.

Included battery and robot compatibility

A CR2025 coin cell battery is included so you can start operating immediately. It pairs directly with compatible robotics platforms, including the MiniQ Discovery, MiniQ 2WD, and 4WD MiniQ V2.0 kits.
