Indoor ENS160 Air Quality Sensor - I2C

The Indoor ENS160 Air Quality Sensor is an I2C-compatible sensing module designed for precise indoor air quality monitoring using ScioSense ENS160 hardware. Utilising TrueVOC and metal oxide technology, it calculates and outputs TVOC, eCO2, and AQI readings directly. It is ideal for makers, students, and engineers building home automation systems, HVAC controls, and environmental monitors.

Multi-parameter indoor air quality detection

Based on the ScioSense ENS160 chip, this sensor outputs eCO2 readings from 400ppm to 65000ppm, TVOC levels from 0ppb to 65000ppb, and calculated AQI figures. Combining metal oxide and TrueVOC technology ensures high accuracy, anti-interference capability, and fast response times.

Convenient probe design and wiring

The sensor features a probe form factor with an integrated 1-metre cable for easy mounting inside enclosures, air ducts, or domestic appliances. It connects via standard I2C at address 0x53 and supports supply voltages from 3.3V to 5V.

Fast warm-up and automatic baseline correction

Intelligent on-chip algorithms enable accurate data collection after a preheat time of under 3 minutes. Built-in automatic baseline correction maintains measurement accuracy and stability during long-term deployment.

Broad operating range and low power

Operating at 29mA, the module functions reliably in ambient temperatures from -10°C to 80°C and relative humidity levels between 5% and 95% non-condensing. This makes it well suited for smart thermostats, air purifiers, and ventilation equipment.
