Description

The I2C Temperature and Humidity Sensor features a rugged 304 stainless steel probe housing designed for demanding environmental sensing. Driven by the upgraded CHT832X sensor chip, it delivers high-precision measurements and programmable alert features over a standard digital interface. It is ideal for makers, students, and engineers developing weather stations, HVAC automation, or industrial monitoring projects.

The sensor element is encased in 304 stainless steel, providing robust resistance to impact, extreme temperatures, and chemical exposure. It measures temperatures from -40°C to 125°C and relative humidity across a full 0% to 100% RH range.

Microcontroller ready wiring and pinout

Terminated with a standard 2.54 mm DuPont connector, the cable integrates two 4.7 kΩ pull-up resistors and a 100 nF filtering capacitor. This allows direct, breadboard-friendly connection to Arduino and other microcontrollers without extra external components.

High precision CHT832X sensor chip

Featuring an upgraded CHT832X digital sensor core, this version provides a typical temperature accuracy of ±0.1°C and humidity accuracy of ±1.5% RH. The upgraded model can be quickly identified by its green SCL signal wire.

Ultra low power digital interface

Operating from 1.8 V to 5.5 V, the sensor draws only 5.5 µA during active conversions and 0.36 µA in standby. Its I2C and SMBus compatible interface supports speeds up to 1.0 MHz, NIST traceability, and Packet Error Checking for reliable data logging.

Programmable alerts and broad applications

A user-programmable alarm function supports automated threshold notifications in both continuous and one-shot measurement modes. It is well suited for cold-chain monitoring, automated greenhouse control, smart HVAC systems, and portable weather monitors.
