I2C RGB Backlight LCD 16x2 Display Module for Arduino (Black Text)

The I2C RGB Backlight LCD 16x2 Display Module is an Arduino-compatible shield featuring crisp black text and an adjustable multi-colour backlight. It is well suited to students, hobbyists, and educators creating interactive projects or visual data monitoring platforms.

Dynamic RGB backlight control

The screen supports 16 million colour combinations alongside adjustable backlight brightness. Backlight colours can be programmed to change automatically based on real-time sensor readings, providing instant visual feedback.

Direct I2C Arduino interface

Using standard I2C communication, this shield plugs directly onto an Arduino controller to eliminate complex wiring. It operates with standard Arduino libraries to quickly output characters and numerical data.

Full IO expansion headers

All Arduino Uno IO pins are broken out on the back of the shield. This allows seamless connection to external modules, sensors, LEDs, and servos while the screen is running.

Onboard programmable buttons

The board includes six physical push buttons, five of which are user-programmable. These keys can be assigned to switch functions, adjust settings, or navigate menus.

Low-power electrical specifications

The module operates from 3.3V to 5.0V with a low operating current of under 0.8mA. It has an operating temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees Celsius and measures 87.0 x 52.0 x 14.8 mm.
