I2C 20x4 Character LCD Display Module for Arduino (Blue Backlight)

This 20x4 character LCD module provides a clear readout of up to 80 characters across four lines with crisp white text on a blue LED backlight. By operating over a high-speed I2C serial bus, it frees up valuable microcontroller pins, making it ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers building data-rich robotics and embedded projects.

High-capacity four-line readout

The module displays 20 characters per line across 4 lines using white characters on a vibrant blue LED backlight. It features a wide viewing angle and individual character dimensions of 2.96 by 4.75 mm for clear visibility.

Efficient two-wire I2C interface

Standard parallel LCDs consume six digital pins, but this module uses an I2C bus to display data over just two lines. Connections are made via standard XH2.54 breadboard-pitch pins, allowing for direct wiring with standard jumper cables.

Selectable address and adjustable contrast

The module allows configuration across eight I2C addresses ranging from 0x20 to 0x27 (defaulting to 0x20) to prevent bus conflicts with other sensors. Display contrast can be adjusted manually on the board to suit ambient lighting.

Broad microcontroller compatibility

Operating at 5V via standard header pins or 3.3V through IDC10 connectors, the display interfaces easily with different logic levels. It is fully compatible with Arduino Uno, Arduino Mega, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi platforms.

Compact physical footprint

Measuring 98 x 60 x 24 mm, the module features a 0.55 x 0.55 mm dot size with a 0.60 x 0.60 mm dot pitch. Each pack includes one fully assembled I2C 20x4 character LCD display module.
