The 42BYGH40-1.8-23A is a two-phase hybrid stepper motor engineered to deliver up to 3.6 kg·cm of holding torque. It is designed for makers, educators, and engineers building precision 3D printers, desktop CNC routers, and robotics platforms.
Precise 1.8 degree step angle
With a standard 1.8° step angle and full support for microstepping drivers, this motor delivers smooth, high-resolution motion. It maintains reliable step accuracy over long operating cycles to avoid lost steps under load.
High torque output
The motor delivers a minimum holding torque of 350 mN·m with both phases energised, providing ample power for demanding drive mechanisms. Its rotor inertia of 57 g·cm² supports responsive dynamic movements.
Electrical and connection specifications
Rated at 1.7 A per phase with a phase resistance of 1.8 Ω and 3.6 mH inductance, it balances energy efficiency with strong torque. Wiring is handled through a standard 4-pin JST XH 2.54 mm connector.
