Description
The Gravity UART Infrared Carbon Dioxide Sensor is a high-performance gas detector capable of measuring CO2 concentrations from 0 to 50,000 ppm using non-dispersive infrared technology. Equipped with onboard temperature compensation and a UART output, it suits students, makers, and engineers developing industrial safety systems, agricultural monitors, and advanced air quality loggers.
Wide-range NDIR gas detection
Utilising non-dispersive infrared absorption, this sensor provides quantitative CO2 analysis across a broad 0 to 50,000 ppm range. The optical design ensures high sensitivity, fast response times, and strong resistance to water vapour without risk of sensor poisoning.
Microcontroller interfacing via UART
The module outputs 3.3V logic level UART data for direct communication with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers. It operates on a 4.5V to 5.5V DC supply, providing reliable signal transmission across prototyping setups.

Onboard temperature compensation and durability
Built-in temperature compensation maintains measurement accuracy and linear output across temperatures from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. Combined with solid-state optical design, the probe offers high stability and a service life exceeding five years.
Industrial and agricultural deployment
A broad detection range and resistance to environmental interference make this detector suitable for HVAC refrigeration, livestock facilities, greenhouses, and industrial process monitoring.
Included probe and interface kit
The package includes the infrared CO2 sensor probe, a compact signal converter board, a 6-pin sensor cable, a Gravity PH2.0 UART cable, and an XH2.54 4-pin header.
