Description
The Gravity STCC4 True Carbon Dioxide Sensor is a compact, cost-effective 3-in-1 environmental monitoring module powered by Sensirion thermal conductivity technology. Equipped with an onboard SHT40 sensor for simultaneous temperature and relative humidity tracking, it is ideal for students, makers, and engineers developing indoor air quality monitors, smart HVAC systems, and scalable IoT networks.
Thermal conductivity CO2 measurement
Powered by Sensirion STCC4 sensing technology, the module measures the physical thermal properties of surrounding air to calculate absolute CO2 concentrations from 400 to 5000 ppm. An integrated Automatic Self-Calibration algorithm maintains long-term measurement stability and reliable accuracy of plus or minus 100 ppm plus 10 percent of reading.

3-in-1 environmental monitoring
An onboard SHT40 sensor captures ambient temperature and relative humidity alongside CO2 levels. The module actively uses this environmental data to automatically compensate CO2 readings against indoor climate fluctuations, delivering three vital data streams from a single PCB.

Cost-effective scalable IoT deployments
Utilising thermal conductivity sensing reduces manufacturing and operational costs compared to traditional NDIR units. This makes the sensor an accessible option for multi-room air quality networks, classroom ventilation monitors, and distributed environmental logging nodes.

Plug-and-play I2C integration
A standard Gravity 4-pin I2C interface and 3.3V to 5.0V operating range allow direct connection to Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi microcontrollers without external level shifting. The included Gravity cable eliminates the need for soldering or breadboards to speed up prototyping.

Low power continuous operation
The module features an efficient power profile drawing just 950 uA during continuous measurement and merely 1 uA in deep sleep mode. It also supports single-shot measurement modes drawing 100 uA at a 10-second sampling interval, making it well suited to battery-powered remote monitoring stations.
