The Gravity: Smart Grayscale Sensor is a versatile line-tracking and surface-detection module featuring integrated digital and analogue output modes. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers building autonomous mobile robots, automated sorters, and ambient light projects.

Dual digital and analogue outputs

The sensor integrates both digital switching signal feedback and dual analogue gradation feedback. It delivers a continuous 0 to 5V analogue output or a digital TTL level output at 0V or 5V to suit different controller inputs.

Onboard button calibration for digital mode

In digital mode, users can record two colour references using a simple onboard button operation. This enables reliable two-colour detection with high and low outputs, requiring no further software configuration once set.

Precise analogue grayscale feedback

When operating in analogue mode, the output voltage scales continuously and accurately with the detected surface grayscale level from 0V to 5V.

Adaptable light and colour tracking

Designed for stable performance across diverse environments, this module supports line-tracking, adjacency light detection, and low-cost grayscale sensing applications.

Compact 5V module specifications

The sensor operates at a 5V supply voltage and features a compact 37 x 10 x 15 mm footprint. The package includes one Smart Grayscale Sensor v1.0 unit.
