Description
The Gravity: SHT31-F Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor is a high-precision environmental monitoring module built around Sensirion's SHT31-F IC. Featuring factory calibration, fast digital response, and an IP67 protective filter, it is an ideal choice for makers, students, and engineers developing robust IoT and weather-sensing projects.
High precision temperature and humidity sensing
Utilising Sensirion's CMOSens technology, this sensor provides internally calibrated digital output across a wide operating range. It measures relative humidity from 0% to 100% RH with an accuracy of plus or minus 2% RH at 25 degrees Celsius, and temperatures from minus 40 to 125 degrees Celsius with a typical accuracy of plus or minus 0.2 degrees Celsius between 0 and 90 degrees Celsius.
IP67 dust and liquid protection
The onboard SHT31-F chip features a dedicated PTFE membrane that protects the sensing element from water spray and dust to IP67 standards. Thanks to high water vapour permeability and minimal package volume, the protective membrane maintains the same fast response time as an uncovered sensor under harsh conditions.
Broad controller compatibility via I2C
The module operates on an input voltage range of 3.3V to 5.5V and communicates over a standard I2C interface. This ensures direct plug-and-play compatibility with popular 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers including Arduino, micro:bit, and ESP32.
Versatile environmental monitoring applications
With low power consumption and strong anti-interference capabilities, the sensor is well suited for urban environmental monitoring, smart home systems, and intelligent building automation. It is also suitable for specialized agricultural setups like grain storage monitoring and animal or plant breeding systems.
Compact layout and included accessories
Measuring 32 by 22 mm with 3 mm mounting holes spaced 15 mm apart, the board easily fits into compact enclosures. Each unit ships with the SHT31-F sensor board, a Gravity 4-pin I2C/UART sensor cable, and a 2-pin 2.54 mm header.
