The Gravity: Non-contact Capacitive Flexible Liquid Level Sensor is an ultra-thin, adhesive switch designed to detect fluid levels externally through non-conductive containers. Operating between 2.5V and 5.5V, it is ideal for makers, educators, and students building automated watering systems, aquarium monitors, and laboratory apparatus.

Non-contact flexible adhesive mounting

Built on a flexible substrate weighing just 2g, the sensor features waterproof and temperature-resistant 3M backing tape. It sticks directly to the outer surface of non-conductive tanks, pipes, or test tubes with wall thicknesses up to 5mm.

Capacitive sensing principle

The module measures changes in static capacitance caused by the parasitic capacitance of approaching fluid. An integrated onboard control IC calculates the electrical shift and triggers an active state once the liquid reaches the sensing point.

Simple digital interfacing

Equipped with a standard 3-pin interface, the sensor outputs a digital low signal when liquid is present and high when dry. It operates across a wide 2.5V to 5.5V DC supply range with an ultra-low operating current below 300uA.

Robust operational specifications

Rated at IP62 protection, this switch functions reliably in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 85°C with a ±0.25% full-scale hysteresis. It provides a reliable liquid detection solution for beverage machines, aquariums, and scientific test rigs.
