Description

The Gravity: Liquid Flow Sensor (G3/4) is an electromagnetic-based sensor designed to measure the flow rate of various low-viscosity liquids. Compatible with microcontrollers such as the Arduino UNO, it is ideal for students, makers, and educators building automated liquid dispensing and fluid monitoring projects.

Electromagnetic flow measurement

Using an electromagnetic sensing principle, this unit accurately measures fluids with high concentration and low viscosity, such as water, diesel, engine oil, milk, paint, detergent, and honey without impurities. It delivers an operational flow range of 30 to 3000 L/H with an accuracy of plus or minus 1%.

Gravity interface and wide voltage

Equipped with a standard Gravity interface, the sensor easily connects to microcontrollers and robotics carrier boards. It operates across a wide supply voltage range from DC 3.5V to 24V with an operating current of 10mA or less at 5V.

Robust sealed housing

Built with an internal O-ring rubber seal and silicone sealant at the outlet, the sensor provides enhanced water resistance, impact resistance, and anti-interference performance. It handles fluid pressures up to 1.2 MPa and operating temperatures up to 80°C.

Standard G3/4 pipe fitting

The sensor features G3/4 pipe thread connectors with a 26mm outer diameter and 16mm inner diameter for direct integration into standard piping. Its compact form factor measures 92 by 47 by 39 millimetres.

NPN pulse output

The sensor outputs an NPN pulse signal with a 50% duty ratio, where 1 litre of fluid flow generates 75 pulses. This clear pulse correlation allows microcontrollers to easily compute both instant flow rate and cumulative volume.
