Description
The Gravity Lab Grade Analog Electrical Conductivity Sensor (K=10) is designed for measuring high-conductivity liquids such as seawater, concentrated brine, and wastewater. Compatible with 3.3V and 5V systems like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, it provides an accessible water quality testing solution for makers, educators, and hobbyists.
High conductivity measurement range
Built with a cell constant of K=10, this sensor measures electrical conductivity between 10 and 100 mS/cm with an overall accuracy of ±5% F.S. This broad detection range makes it ideal for saltwater applications, marine fisheries, aquariums, and wastewater analysis.
AC excitation signal design
The signal conversion board generates an alternating current (AC) excitation signal to minimise polarization effects during testing. This method improves data precision and prolongs the operational lifespan of the laboratory-grade probe.
Plug and play microcontroller integration
Featuring a 3.0V to 5.0V input range and a 0 to 3.2V output, the conversion board connects directly to 3.3V and 5V mainboards. The probe attaches via a secure BNC connector while the Gravity 3-pin analogue interface allows straightforward wiring without soldering.

Calibration and temperature compensation
The software library supports single-point calibration and automatically identifies standard buffer solutions for quick setup. For optimal accuracy across the 0 to 40°C operating range, integrating a separate DS18B20 temperature sensor enables automatic temperature compensation.
Probe handling and maintenance
The laboratory probe features a delicate platinum black coating on its internal metal sheets that should never be touched and must only be cleaned using distilled water. To preserve sensor life and measurement accuracy, avoid leaving the probe continuously immersed in liquid.
