Description
The Gravity: I2C RGB LED Colorful Button Module combines a tactile push button with an independently controllable RGB backlight over an I2C interface. Designed for makers, students, and educators, it offers rich visual and interactive feedback for custom control panels, robotics projects, and user interfaces.
Independent RGB LED illumination
The module features an integrated RGB LED with 0 to 255 level adjustment per colour channel, providing soft and even lighting. You can toggle and change colours independently of button presses to signal system status or user prompts.
Cascading up to eight modules
An onboard 3-bit DIP switch configures up to 8 unique I2C addresses. Dual I2C ports allow you to daisy-chain up to 8 button modules together without consuming extra microcontroller pins.
Durable mechanical tactile feedback
The switch delivers mechanical keyboard-style tactile feedback with a key travel distance of 2.2 mm (plus or minus 0.2 mm). It is rated for a lifespan of 200,000 continuous presses.
Dedicated hardware interrupt interface
An onboard interrupt interface outputs a HIGH signal whenever the button is pressed, ensuring rapid event detection for real-time microcontroller tasks.
Flexible Gravity connection options
Operating on 3.3V to 5V DC, the board provides both a Gravity standard PH2.0-4P connector and a 2.54 mm 5-pin header. It comes supplied with a Gravity 4-pin I2C/UART sensor cable for immediate setup.
