The Gravity I2C Non-contact IR Temperature Sensor is an Arduino-compatible module powered by the MLX90614 sensor. It measures surface temperatures remotely by detecting infrared radiation energy and wavelength distribution without physical touch. This module is well suited for students, hobbyists, and makers building contactless thermal monitoring and automation projects.
Non-contact infrared temperature detection
This sensor determines object surface temperature by measuring infrared radiation energy and wavelength distribution. Non-contact operation allows for clean, safe temperature readings from moving, hot, or sensitive targets.
MLX90614-DCC sensing core
At the core of the module is the MLX90614 infrared thermometer chip designed for accurate thermal detection. It reliably processes thermal radiation emitted from target surfaces into usable temperature data.
