Gravity: I2C IP68 Waterproof Ambient Light Sensor (1-65535lx)

The Gravity I2C IP68 Waterproof Ambient Light Sensor measures environmental light levels from 1 to 65535 lux in demanding environments. Featuring full water submersion protection and a standard Gravity interface, it is well suited to students, hobbyists, and educators building weather stations and agricultural monitoring systems.

Wide range illuminance detection

This sensor captures light intensity between 1 and 65535 lux with an accuracy of 1.2 lux. Built-in 50Hz and 60Hz light noise rejection filters out artificial lighting flicker to ensure stable data.

Submersible IP68 waterproof construction

With an IP68 ingress rating, the sensor housing can be fully immersed in water without damage. It is rated for reliable outdoor operation across temperatures from -40°C to 85°C.

Simple microcontroller wiring

The module connects via I2C using the standard plug-and-play Gravity interface for microcontrollers like the Arduino UNO. It operates from a 5V supply while drawing an ultra-low operating current of only 1µA.

Versatile environmental monitoring

Reliable outdoor sensing makes this module suitable for monitoring crop exposure in greenhouses, intelligent car headlamp automation, and standalone weather stations.

Robust panel mounting dimensions

The housing features a 10mm thread length that fits a 26mm panel cutout using a 31mm wrench. It comes pre-wired with a 1-metre cable measuring 3mm in diameter.
