Description
The Gravity I2C High Temperature Sensor kit combines a dedicated MAX31855K conversion module with an armoured K-type thermocouple probe capable of measuring temperatures up to 800°C. It is an ideal solution for students, makers, and educators seeking reliable ultra-high temperature monitoring for microcontrollers.
Direct connection to Arduino
The module features a standard Gravity I2C interface and operates across a wide 3.3V to 5.5V input voltage range. It connects directly to 5V boards such as the Arduino Uno using the included Gravity 4-pin cable.

Raspberry Pi hardware compatibility
With native 3.3V logic level support on the I2C interface, the module connects directly to single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi. This enables seamless digital temperature logging without needing external voltage shifters.

High temperature flame measurement
Unlike standard sensors that max out below 400°C, this thermocouple setup reliably monitors open gas flames, pottery kilns, and electric furnaces up to 800°C. It delivers accurate readings in extreme thermal environments with an error margin within ±2.5°C.

Precision MAX31855K digital conversion
Powered by a dedicated MAX31855K converter chip, the module provides 14-bit digital output with 0.25°C resolution across an expansive range from -270°C to 1372°C. The amplifier maintains a low error within ±2°C from -200°C to 700°C and ±4°C up to 1350°C.
Durable armoured probe design
The included 50mm stainless steel probe has a 4mm diameter and connects via a 1.5m lead wire. It is waterproof, rustproof, and resistant to weak acids and alkalis for long-term deployment in harsh environments.
Universal K-type probe support
The signal amplification board can be paired with any standard K-type thermocouple probe depending on your project needs. The kit includes the conversion board, one armoured probe, and a Gravity I2C connection wire.
