Description

The Gravity I2C BME680 Environmental Sensor is a compact 4-in-1 MEMS module that measures temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and volatile organic compounds. Designed for plug-and-play prototyping, it is ideal for makers, students, and educators building smart home monitors, IoT environmental nodes, and wearable devices.

Four-in-one environmental sensing

Powered by the Bosch BME680 MEMS sensor, this module monitors temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, and VOC gas levels simultaneously. It delivers multi-parameter environmental data in a compact 30 by 22 mm footprint with low power consumption.

Dual 3.3V and 5V compatibility

Equipped with an onboard voltage regulator and level-translator IC, the board connects directly to 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers. It operates across an input voltage range of 3.3V to 5.0V, drawing 5mA during standard operation and 25mA during VOC measurements.

Gravity I2C and SPI interfaces

The sensor features a standard Gravity I2C connector for fast, solder-free wiring. An unpopulated XH2.54 SPI header layout is also reserved on the board for advanced connection requirements.

Broad measurement ranges

The device measures temperature from -40°C to +85°C, humidity from 0 to 100% r.H., and barometric pressure from 300 to 1100 hPa. It also outputs an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) index from 0 to 500, with IAQ calculation specifically supported on FireBeetle ESP8266 microcontrollers.

Included accessories

The kit includes one BME680 sensor module, an XH2.54 6-pin male header, and a Gravity 4-pin I2C/UART sensor cable. Everything required to connect the board to compatible development platforms is supplied out of the box.
