Description

The Gravity I2C ADS1115 16-Bit ADC Module is a high-precision analogue-to-digital converter compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi. It provides a simple plug-and-play solution for reading analogue sensors on development boards that lack native analogue inputs. It is ideal for students, makers, and educators building accurate sensor monitoring projects.

High-precision 16-bit conversion

Powered by the ADS1115 chip, this module features an integrated precision reference voltage and programmable gain amplifier. It enables accurate signal acquisition and conversion for both weak and highly variable analogue inputs.

Arduino connection diagram

The module connects directly to Arduino microcontrollers over the standard I2C interface. It allows users to quickly expand their board with four high-resolution analogue channels.

Raspberry Pi analogue integration

Because the Raspberry Pi only reads digital signals natively, this module bridges the gap to allow Raspberry Pi boards to interface with analogue sensors. The 3.3V digital I2C level ensures direct compatibility without requiring logic level shifting.

Multi-channel cascading support

A single module provides four analogue input channels across a 0 to VCC detection range. Using the onboard I2C address selection switch, two modules can be cascaded on the same bus to read up to eight channels simultaneously.

Plug-and-play Gravity interface

The board includes colour-coded 3-pin headers and a Gravity I2C connector for solderless connection to Gravity series sensors. It operates on a 3.3V to 5.0V supply with a 2mA to 3mA operating current, provided input voltages do not exceed VCC plus 0.3V.
