The Gravity: I2C 8x16 RGB LED Matrix Panel is a compact multi-colour display designed to add expressive faces, animations, and status readouts to microcontroller projects. It is ideal for students, hobbyists, and makers building interactive robots and monitoring systems.

Vivid 7-colour graphic display

The 8x16 matrix provides adjustable 7-colour output and comes loaded with more than 20 default images. It supports user-defined image creation as well as scrolling numbers, letters, and symbols.

Simple I2C communication

The module communicates via an I2C interface using a 4-pin PH2.0 connection to prevent messy wiring. A dedicated Arduino library simplifies programming and pattern generation.

Compact form factor for robotics

Measuring 62mm by 27mm, the panel is appropriately sized to serve as animated robot eyes or visual indicators. It can also be integrated into toy cars and smart home monitoring setups.

Operating ratings and power requirements

The board operates at 5.0V with a current draw of 150mA or less. It is rated for stable performance within an operating temperature range of 0 to 70 degrees Celsius.

Included connection hardware

Each unit ships with one 8x16 RGB LED matrix panel and one Gravity I2C/UART sensor cable for immediate connection to compatible controller shields.
