Description

The Gravity I2C 3.7V Li Battery Fuel Gauge provides accurate, real-time tracking of lithium battery voltage and remaining capacity. Designed for makers, educators, and robotics hobbyists, it simplifies power management in portable and solar-powered electronics.

Patented fuel gauge algorithm

Because 3.7V lithium battery discharge curves are highly non-linear, simple voltage measurements cannot accurately determine capacity. This module uses Maxim's patented algorithm to track the relative state of charge without requiring full-to-empty relearning cycles or suffering from offset accumulation errors.

Seamless Arduino integration

The module connects directly to 5V boards like the Arduino Uno using the standard Gravity 4-pin I2C interface. It delivers plug-and-play measurement of 3.7V Li-polymer and Li-ion cells.

Seamless Arduino integration

Raspberry Pi hardware support

Operating across a wide 3.3V to 6.0V input range with 3.3V logic levels, the sensor connects easily to single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi 3B for continuous system power logging.

Raspberry Pi hardware support

Programmable low-power interrupt

An onboard ALR pin generates a falling pulse to trigger an external controller interrupt when the battery level drops below a set threshold. This allows host systems to initiate safe shutdowns or switch to power-saving modes.

Ultra-low power and protection

With an operating current of just 50 uA, the sensor minimises its own energy footprint during continuous monitoring. It also includes built-in reverse connection protection to safeguard your hardware against accidental wiring mistakes.

Ideal for solar monitoring

The gauge is well suited for solar weather stations and remote nodes, logging charge and discharge changes over days or months to help you balance system energy consumption.
