Description
The Gravity I2C 16x2 Arduino LCD with RGB Font Display V2.0 is a 16-character by 2-line display module featuring customisable RGB text colours. It is ideal for students, educators, and makers looking to add clear visual feedback and colourful data readouts to microcontroller projects.
Full RGB font colour customisation
Unlike standard monochrome LCD screens, this display supports full-colour RGB text capable of rendering up to 16 million colour combinations. This allows you to visually distinguish different data states or create personalised readouts.
Simplified Gravity I2C connection
The module uses a standard Gravity I2C interface, requiring only two communication lines to control both data transmission and the adjustable backlight. Dedicated Arduino library support simplifies firmware development and eliminates messy breadboard wiring.
Screen scrolling and cursor management
The 16x2 character screen supports built-in display functions including dynamic screen scrolling and cursor positioning. These features make it straightforward to present longer telemetry strings and build interactive menus.
Flexible operating voltage and low power
Designed to operate from 3.3V to 5.0V with a current draw of 60mA or less, the display is directly compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontroller boards.
Compact footprint and wide temperature tolerance
Measuring 87.0 by 32.0 by 13.0 mm, the board fits easily into compact project enclosures. It functions reliably across an operating temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees Celsius.
Included 4-pin Gravity cable
The module comes supplied with a Gravity 4-pin I2C and UART cable, allowing you to connect directly to compatible development shields right out of the box.
