Description
The Gravity I2C 12-Bit DAC Module is a digital-to-analogue converter based on the MCP4725 chip with integrated EEPROM. It allows microcontrollers to generate stable analogue voltage outputs over a standard I2C bus. This module is ideal for makers, students, and hobbyists requiring precise voltage control for instrumentation, audio, and signal generation projects.
MCP4725 12-bit conversion
The module uses an MCP4725 digital-to-analogue converter to produce stable, smooth analogue voltage outputs. Its 12-bit resolution delivers precise stepped voltage control from digital input data.
Onboard EEPROM storage
An integrated EEPROM allows the DAC to save its output voltage settings. The stored configuration persists across power cycles, enabling the module to output the desired default voltage on startup.
Wide 3.3V to 5V supply range
The module accepts an operating input voltage range between 3.3V and 5V. This allows direct integration with both 3.3V and 5V microcontroller development boards.
Selectable I2C address
Communication is handled via the I2C interface with a selectable hardware address. This makes it straightforward to connect and operate alongside other I2C peripherals on the same bus without address collisions.
