Description
The Gravity: GP8600 1-Channel DAC Module converts digital I2C and PWM signals from microcontrollers into standard analog outputs. Featuring 16-bit resolution and a low ±0.2% full-scale error, it generates stable 0-5V, 0-10V, and 4-20mA signals. It is ideally suited for students, makers, and engineers automating industrial equipment, variable frequency drives, and remote control loops.
Versatile industrial output ranges
The module converts logic-level signals into 0-6V, 0-12V, or 0-20mA outputs to directly interface with 0-5V, 0-10V, and 4-20mA equipment. This allows 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers to control heavy-duty hardware such as variable frequency drives, dimmable LED drivers, and proportional valves.
Dual I2C and PWM inputs
Signal generation can be driven via 16-bit I2C commands (0-65535) or selectable 8-bit/10-bit PWM inputs. This dual-input flexibility allows easy integration across diverse microcontroller platforms including Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.
Multi-device I2C cascading
With 8 selectable I2C addresses, up to 8 GP8600 modules can share a single microcontroller bus simultaneously. This simplifies wiring when orchestrating multi-channel lighting arrays or multi-axis motor controllers.
High precision and noise immunity
A low full-scale linearity error of ±0.2% ensures fine-grained analog output for precision lab testing and process automation. The 4-20mA current mode facilitates reliable signal transmission over long distances in electrically noisy environments.
Plug-and-play Gravity interface
Designed for standard 3.3V to 5V supplies, the module uses Gravity PH2.0 4-pin and 3-pin interfaces and includes both connection cables. The compact 38 × 32 mm board features 3.0 mm mounting holes spaced 25 mm apart for straightforward installation.
